Private tuition / Yoga and Well-being in the Workplace

I am available for teaching yoga, well-being and mindfulness either one-to-one or in small groups, in the comfort of your own home, at the workplace or at my current base in Derbyshire. This is the perfect way to begin or develop your own practice and is also great for devising a personalised home-practice routine tailored to your body's particular needs. Cost: £45 per hour for one-to-one or £60 for 90 minutes / Costs of small group teaching will depend on the size of the group.

Yoga for personal healing

The body doesn't lie and tells us everything we need to know if we can learn to listen to its quiet yet profound wisdom. Every traumatic event, thought or emotion that we cannot process at the time remains in the body, manifesting as tension, pain, numbness, immobility and, eventually, illness and injury, until we're ready to release it. A conscious body practice such as gentle yoga can help us access body wisdom and begin to unpick and release these layers of held trauma, bringing new-found freedom to body, mind and spirit. For this reason, I offer one-to-one yoga sessions with an emphasis on using yoga to support your personal healing journey. What this means in practice is that we first have an in-depth chat about your healing journey and current priorities, then I use this to take you through an intuitively guided, personalised sequence of postures, breathing, meditation and relaxation, and I hold space for and support your own innate healing, which the yoga sequence also supports. I am likely to use gentle hands-on touch at times to encourage energetic openings in 'stuck' areas of the body. We will finish the session with an integrating discussion. These sessions can be profound, and it's worth saying that the depth of healing will increase if we work together over a period of time as our energy connection naturally deepens, as well as your trust of me, the process and the your own ability to heal.

£60 for 90 minutes or £90 for 2 hours. I am available to come to your home or I can provide a nurturing space in a yoga studio or at my home.

General information

Wear comfortable clothes that don't restrict movement - leggings, stretchy shorts or tracksuit bottoms are ideal, although bear in mind that dynamic classes can become quite hot. Bring a yoga mat if possible - these are easy to source in sports shops or online. See the links page for ideas. If you don't have one let me know and I can bring along a spare.
